SCA Collar of Office Emerald, Color Choice c. 1500
Elegant Renaissance chains of office, sometimes called a collar of office, were worn by the nobility in England during the 1500's and 1600's. This lovely example has a 3 1/2 inch wide, 2 layer centerpiece with a 25mm acrylic cabochon in an antiqued brass setting and dangling glass pearls. 1 3/8 inch wide antiqued brass settings hold more cabochons. Czech glass pearls complete the collar - cream/ivory are 8mm and white are 10mm. The setting on each shoulder are slighter different and have pin backs to hold the collar securely to your costume. Choose the color of stone that would be suit your costume.
