Very pretty Niello Sterling brooch with an engraving of the goddess Mekala is slightly over 2 1/4 inches long. It has a slight dome effect and lovely carved openwork. It has a safety catch, is signed "Siam Sterling" and is in fine condition with a nice patina. Niello jewelry was made by craftsmen in Thailand from the 1930's into the 1980's.
